We as white South Africans, do not want conflict with our other colored South Africans! The majority of us endured the changes in a peaceful manner, in the hope that it would create a better South Africa for all. What we create and do today, depends on what our children are left with tommorrow. I am a proud white Christian South African, but I never let the colour of my skin determine who I am, but rather display who I am by my beliefs, ie. love my neighbour like myself, do to others as I want done unto myself, irrespective of their colour, race or beliefs. That is what God tells us to do. Unfortanely we are white South Africans, labeled as racists and instinctly blaimed for all the wrong doings of the current and previous governments, that were not able to produce what they promised. To all South Africans of South Africa, of all colours, I want to say, we are NOT YOUR ENEMY. We want ALL to succeed and we want to leave a future country of prosperaty to our children, so they may live in harmony together. I have seen that those whom plead for righteousness against so called previous "discrimination", are the lazy ones that do not want to work and want it all handed to them for free. If not they take to the streets with violence or threats. Since 1994 to 2009 a long time has passed - stop blaming others for your shortcomings. You are responsible for your own success. Work hard to achieve your goals. We currently have a fatherless generation. We have to all look inward and evaluate our morals and values and again bestow it on our children to act accordingly. We leave our children to grow up by themselves, instead of responably guiding them. Our children look up to us and mimic everything we do. What are they learning from us and our leaders, by what we are now teaching them? The leaders have so much power in their hands and can do so much good, if they only have the "guts" to stand up for what is right. South Africa is dying!! While our leaders stop caring, everything around us is also colapsing. Our roads, for instance, are decaying, we have a poor education system, our hospitals are in a mess, to name a few - the leaders don´t care and it shows. No one shows pride and mutual respect anymore. Look at the police and armed forces - I remember the days when you had to abide by certain rules before you could wear the uniform. Your image in uniform, said a lot to those you protected -you were not permitted to wear the uniform if you were over weight and not well groomed. Standards has not been maintained and no one has been held responsible or accountable for not doing so. In most well governed countries in the world, the people respect their forces, because they maintain law and order. Something WE ALL want. In South Africa this rule does not apply. The current leaders are responsable to maintain standards, but themselves go astray and do not speak out or take action against murderers, rapists or thiefs, because the country has no guideline or a basis for morality. The truth be told - what will our leaders do, when those affected, start taking justice into their own hands, to protect their civil rights, as everyone in South Africa has the right too protection and freedom under the Constitution. If the government fails to provide that, what is left for it´s people to do? Or what will you do Mr President, or Minister, if a loved one of yours gets hacked to death or shot, for a cell phone or a few Rand. I love and care for my country, dont you? I care who governs it properly. I want South Africa to heal again. We can do it, together!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
