A commissioner of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) will ­tomorrow advise his employer to “come clean” and tell white male candidates that they needn’t ­bother applying to become judges.

And, in what may be seen as a startling indictment of the JSC, it has also been warned to guard “most strenuously” against the “pursuit of a covert political ­agenda under the guise of an ­alleged constitutional imperative (of transformation)”.

These statements are contained in a discussion document that commissioner Izak Smuts is due to present at a closed meeting of the commission tomorrow, ahead of a week of interviews in Cape Town.

In the document, which City Press has seen, Smuts says: “One way or the other, the JSC must deal with the uncomfortable perception that the graffiti on its wall reads ‘white men can’t judge’.”

He argues that “the JSC ought to have an honest debate about its ­approach to the appointment of white male candidates.

“If the majority view is that . . . white male candidates are only to be considered for appointment in exceptional circumstances, the JSC should, at the very least, come clean and say so, so that white male candidates are not put through the charade of an interview before ­being rejected.”

Smuts, a practising advocate and senior counsel, is something of a crusader in the legal profession. He recently quit his position as deputy chair of the General Council of the Bar over the ­council’s position on the Legal Practice Bill.

Sustainable Problem Solving vs Unsustainable Violent Colonialism: Patriarchal Capitalism and Communism

There are some who view a superior civilization as one in which the men do not suffer from fragile ego addictions, and can discuss a matter honourably and based upon reason and logic, if or where they find their reasoning to be in error, to admit such, and amend their working hypothesis conclusion.... such a society is capable of problem solving most problems... such as for example the Mosuo culture in SW China who have no murder, no rape, no suicide, no homelessness, no unemployment, who live in harmony with nature.

A gender balanced culture based on logic and reason concludes that we live on a finite resource earth, and hence if we wish to avoid conflict from resource scarcity, then we must consume and reproduce at a level below carrying capacity. Put differently we do not have the right to ‘fuck’ and ‘consume’ to our hearts content. No patriarchal culture on planet earth has ever been based on logic and reason and required their tribe to breed and consume below carrying capacity.

Then you have patriarchal societies/cultures where men suffer from fragile ego's and are incapable of resolving issues by means of logic and reason. Put differently, they do not want to take control of their penis, either physically, by breeding below carrying capacity, or psychologically, by consume below carrying capacity (social status symbols which psychologically are equivalent to their belief in an extension of their penis/virility). They consider superiority, not superiority of logic and reason and honour and intellect and integrity, but superiority of violence and force. However they do not have the honour or integrity to admit their addiction to violence as a symptom of their masculine insecurity to evaluate their ‘status’ in terms of honesty or honour. Violence is simply another patriarchal status symbol. It is one of the masculine insecurity social status symbols by which they measure any other patriarchal male’s worth, or another tribe’s superiority/inferiority.

I have large respect for a man who is honest about his view of violence being the pinnacle of any civilization, even though I disagree with them... but at least he is honest, and his enemies know.. that is the measure of his values. He has no regard for ‘rule of law’ or ‘logic and reason’. He settles every dispute with his fists. And when he is beaten by a stronger opponent, he does not turn into a victim and starts whining about how he is now oppressed, since he takes responsibility for his choices; that he lost the game of violence is superiority.

I have no respect, and a huge amount of disgust for men who do not have the honour and integrity to admit that they measure a culture's superiority by the level of its inflicted violence, happy to be earning the fruit of the culture’s colonialist violence, while their violence is winning the raping, pillaging wars, breeding and consuming wars... but all of a sudden turning into whining victims when they lose the game of violence and are now oppressed.

Or you support the patriarchal breeding and consuming game of violent superiority. If so, then at least be honest and admit it, and if you lose, don’t whine.

[1] The Radical Honoursty culture and Yshmael Guerrylla Law Party dispute the SAHRC ruling against Lewende Hoop | Living Hope Ministries publication ‘Die Raadsplan’ | ‘The Divine Plan’, as ‘offensive’ and amounting to ‘hate speech’; on the grounds that:

[1.1] The Lewende Hoop: Die Raadsplan statements do not meet the minority Ecocentric Radical Honoursty culture’s legal definitions for ‘hate speech’ and ‘racism’.

[1.2] The SAHRC Commission’s ruling against Lewende Hoop: Die Raadsplan is based upon the dominant culture’s AnthroCorpocentric Common Law cultural definitions for ‘hate speech’ and ‘racism’ and ‘offensive’; without any recognition of alternative cultural definitions from minority South African cultures who are not Patriarchal or AnthroCorpocentric.

[2] The Radical Honoursty culture and Yshmael Guerrylla Law Party dispute all past and future SA Human Rights Commission ‘Hate Speech’ Rulings, which were, or shall be based upon AnthroCorpocentric dominant common law cultural jurisprudence definitions of ‘hate speech’, ‘racism’, ‘offensive’, ‘insulting’ etc.

[3] Any SAHRC ruling of ‘hate speech’, ‘racism’ etc, which does not recognize or incorporate Radical Honoursty cultural definitions of ‘hate speech’, ‘racism’ and ‘reconciliation’ in its rulings, consequently do not represent the views of the Radical Honoursty culture and the Yshmael Guerrylla Law Party.

[4] The Radical Honoursty culture and Yshmael Guerrylla Law Party recognize all other South African culture’s rights to their own cultural definitions for ‘hate speech’, ‘racism’ and ‘reconciliation’, etc; and believe that true authentic multiculturalism can only occur when all cultures are honest about what their culture’s specific legal definition of these and other contentious legal terms are, so that the members of all cultures, can be made aware, what other cultures definitions are of these terms and how to choose to relate to each other, or not, in recognition of such terms; instead of one or more dominant cultures, attempting to enforce their dominant cultural definitions down all other culture’s throats.

[5] In Radical Honoursty culture:

[5.1] Love: Love is to (a) tell another person your subjective truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, no matter how ‘offensive’ to the listener, and (b) to do so publicly, to their face; as opposed to secretly or behind their back, and (c) to remain in the conversation with them.

[5.2] Hate: Hate is to (a) withhold your honest subjective truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, no matter how offensive, to the listener; and (b) to do so to their face, particularly while expressing your subjective truth, behind their back, and (c) to bullshit yourself, that what you are doing is not ‘hate’; but ‘manners’ or ‘being nice’ or ‘being polite’ or ‘being professional’, etc.

[5.3] Racism: Any fact or verbal or written statement about racial differences – no matter how offensive or factually incorrect -- cannot be ‘racist’. Only a subjective belief about racial differences can be racist, if (a) it unequivocally subjectively known, by the holder of the belief, to be both factually and experientially false, yet (b) stated as factual or experiential truth, and (c) when confronted with possible alternative evidence and theories, the nature of the subjectivity of the belief is fundamentalist, as opposed to simply that of a working hypothesis conclusion. (Definition of Dr. Gedaliah Braun, as expressed in What is Racism? Or, how Philosophy can be ‘Practical’: in his book: Racism, Guilt, Self-Hatred and Self-Deceit).

[5.4] Reconciliation: Radical Honoursty is a non-violent Fanon process, where reconciliation is a psychological and sensate physical experience of releasing of anger and resentments. It is the liberation of both the settler and the colonized minds, by release of both of their suppressed violence, not physically, but verbally: face to face, through expressions of resentments and appreciations, until all suppressed sensate anger is released. Radical Honoursty forgiveness occurs when two former enemies sit across from each other, and have verbally liberated their pent up sensate anger and rage, the body is in a state of released sensate tension, similar to the emotions released in a sexual orgasm, irrespective of however long it takes. Reconciliation occurs when the fragile ego mind is no longer colonized by the suppressed anger in the body (Definition as provided to Constitutional Court in Alien on Pale Blue Dot v. My Honourable Problem Solving suggestion on the matter is as follows: Challenge those who demand Derbyshire be fired for ‘racism’ with the following conditions.

1. They must provide their personal or publications definition of racism.
   
2. If their defintioin of racism is not the same as that of Dr. Gedaliah Braun’s philosophical definition, then the National Review can – if appropriate - publicly acknowledge that “According to ‘X’’s definition of ‘racism’, which is “XYZ’; Mr. Derbyshire is indeed a racist; however according to Dr. Gedaliah Braun’s definition of racism, as adopted by the National Review as its official ‘racism’ definition; it is the conclusion of the National Review that Mr. Derbyshire is not a racist’.
   
3. In the spirit of Dr. Gedaliah Brauns’ Practical Philosophy definition of ‘racism’, should any publication wish to challenge any of Mr. Derbyshire’s facts and unequivocally prove such facts to be in error; and additionally Mr. Derbyshire refuses to impartially enquire into, or engage in such enquiry into the true facts of the relevant ‘racial’ matter; then Dr. Gedaliah Braun shall be enquired to determine whether Mr. Derbyshire is indeed a racist; according to his definition and if so decided, then Mr. Derbyshire shall be fired, as a racist according to the National Review’s definition of racist.

When it comes to so-called leaders I differentiate between 'problem solving' and 'parasite leeching'.

Problem solving are focussed on finding the root causes of problem and simply clarifying it for better understanding by all; whereas parasite leeching leaders (sic) focus is to perpetuate the problem indefinitely while socio-politically exploiting the problem for personal gain, by means of manipulating the emotions of ‘followers’, related to the symptoms of the problem. If the bath is overflowing, problem solvers focus on turning off the tap; whereas parasite leeches focus on profiting from endlessly mopping up the floor.

Poster distributed by the Federation of Conservative Students (the official Conservative Party student organisation) in Britain during the early 1980's, clearly illustrating that people overseas were more aware of the evil nature of Mandela and his fellow ANC terrorists than most people in South Africa were.

This is a story about Nelson Mandela, the world-famous "freedom fighter" and "democrat." You'll have to pardon those slightly sardonic quotes, because I'm afraid this is that kind of story: a bit iconoclastic, and likely to provoke howls of outrage from Western liberals who see Mandela as a benign black moderate who led an army of hymn-singing Uncle Toms to the promised land.

The technical term for those liberals is "useful idiot," but even I must concede that their intervention was actually quite intelligent, back in the 1950s, when this all started. In those days, good men were weak, and their apartheid adversaries invincible on all but one score: propaganda. The war of perceptions thus became the most critical of all battlefields, with the African National Congress constantly seeking to exaggerate apartheid's evils while portraying itself as "good" in a way that was universally appealing.

In the early sixties, Special Branch detectives came upon a piece of evidence that made this a bit tricky in Mandela's case - a handwritten essay titled, "How To Be A Good Communist," in which the leader of the ANC's newly-formed military wing opined that South Africa would become "a land of milk and honey" under Communist rule. We were told that Mandela was innocently toying with Marxist ideas, trying to understand their appeal, but this made little sense. Almost all his co-conspirators were Communists, wedded to a Sovietist doctrine that envisaged a two-phase ending to the SA struggle - a "national democratic revolution," followed by second revolution in which the Marxist-Leninist vanguard took power.

(Kill the Boer)" Yes that song that the South Africa Supreme Court tried to kill by declaring it "hate speech" rolled off Zuma's lips as Malema nodded along on the VIP stage.

Being one of the few Zimbabweans who got the chance to join the ANC in celebrating 100 years of existence in Mangaung, I stubbornly refuse to call it Bloemfontein, let me take this opportunity to wish my South African brother's a happy anniversary.

I hope you will have another 100 years of bringing meaningful change to the lives of the poor people in Kayelitsha, Alexandra and many other slums whose inhabitants do not hear, but listen to Letta Mbulu's classic hit, Not Yet Uhuru.

This powerful ditty not only captures the tragedy of many African countries that got the crown minus the crown jewels; but South Africa's unique condition of being a political and socio-economic binary.

In Mzansi the white minority has a stranglehold on the means of production while for many freedom, not independence, has just meant seeing black faces in government which explains the anger among the likes of Julius Malema.

Well it is not my place to try to spoil the spirit of the centenary. A hundred cheers to my fellow brothers!

In his address in Mangaung, ANC president Jacob Zuma rightly paid tribute to countries in southern Africa and many others as far afield as Cuba and the Nordic countries for the crucial role they played in bringing freedom to South Africa.

Its worth noting that in his 56 page speech, Msholozi made no mention of the countries that today pass themselves off as the originators and defenders of neo-liberal democracy the United States and Britain for rather than abet South Africa's cause for independence, these countries actually abetted apartheid.

All South Africans are settlers, regardless of their skin colour, and their DNA carries the proof.

So says Dr Wilmot James, head of the African Genome Project, a distinguished academic, sociologist and, more recently, honorary professor of human genetics at the University of Cape Town.

And he says South Africans will soon have a public genetic database which will show how the country became populated over thousands of years.

The African Genome project is supported by local genealogy website Ancestry24.com

James aims to trace the origins of South Africans "no matter what their language, ethnic origins, or skin colour".

"No one group can lay claim to South Africa. Everyone is a settler, and we will show how people came here in waves of migration."

Next month he and his colleague, associate professor Himla Soodyall, will do mass genetic testing of Capetonians.

Soodyall is the principal medical scientist at the National Health Laboratory Service and is an associate professor in the Division of Human Genetics at the University of the Witwatersrand.

James says he expects about 300 people will come for free testing on September 9. The test simply involves swabbing the inside of a person's cheek.

"Normally it costs R1 000 a time but this is a public exercise in science and a journey through the history of South Africa," said James.

The results will be out early in 2008. The data will be used to map how people migrated here more than 100 000 years ago. They will do similar testing in Johannesburg.

H. A. Covington: The Hill of the Ravens (2003); A Distant Thunder (2004); A Mighty Fortress (2005); The Brigade (2008).

Every time a friend adds another weapon to his arsenal, he says “I hope to God I never have to use this.” But he keeps buying them, because they may come in handy. I say the same thing every time I pick up a Harold Covington novel. But I keep reading them. They may come in handy some day.

The four novels under review, collectively called the Northwest Quartet, tell the story of the creation of a sovereign white nationalist state, the Northwest American Republic, out of the territory of the United States sometime in the second or third decade of the twenty-first century — right around the corner, historically speaking. The NAR comprises the present US states of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, plus parts of Northern California, Montana, and Wyoming. These states secede from the United States through a bitter five-year guerrilla war fought by the Northwest Volunteer Army. The NVA is an armed political party. Its ideology owes much to German National Socialism, but its tactics are modeled on the Irish Republican Army and the mafia, as well as Muslim organizations like Hamas in Palestine, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and the insurgents who have stymied the United States in Iraq and Afghanistan.

These novels are war stories, and frankly that makes me squeamish. I know that war is an integral part of human history; that it decides the destiny of nations, races, and the world; that it forms a large part of the data of world history and the backdrop of world literature; that one cannot write about men without writing eventually about war. I know that war is an occasion for edifying extremes of human greatness and depravity. I know that one can also derive personal inspiration and useful information from war stories. But I just don’t find representations of hatred and violence particularly enjoyable. And the better the writer, the more seductive such representations become, resulting in a kind of sadistic pornography of violence.

Covington is a very good writer, and these novels are very entertaining. Yet they are not war porn. Covington shows war as horrible. It is mostly like a camping trip that drags on way too long: boring, sleepless, nerve-wracking, dirty, and grindingly uncomfortable and inconvenient. But occasionally it is livened up by moments of exhilaration and sheer terror. It is just that he thinks the alternative to war is even worse, for peace with the present system means the oppression, degradation, and eventual extinction of our race. Beyond that, these novels are not meant to be mere entertainment. They are meant to be self-fulfilling prophecies. The author wishes to inspire the creation of a real Northwest American Republic, and his novels are filled with a great deal of sound practical advice about how to do it.

The V&A receptionist informed Radical Honesty SA, of Ms. King's cell phone number. When asked for a landline number, the receptionist said she did not have the landline number, but Ms. King works for the company known as Corporate Image, and can be contacted there.

... Then I asked my friend [Lt. Gen. Mojo Matau], this man in the kitchen cabinet of ANC power in the new South Africa, what he thought of Robert Mugabe. At his reply my heart sank. He described Zimbabwe’s President as a hero for what he’s done to white farmers, and a leader who illuminated the path ahead for South Africa. I remonstrated, as I always do, and ended by telling Mojo that I saw myself as an African first, a white second, and that it was my ardent wish to stay on the continent. ‘Your only home,’ countered Mojo, gently taking my hand again, ‘is England.’

.... Mugabe, to say it without beating around the liberal bush, is a hero to many of my black African friends. Most of the people I’m talking about are from the upper middle class, inheritors of the African kingdom after colonialism. According to one Zambian, who is among my very oldest of comrades, ‘Mugabe is Shaka Zulu.’

Mugabe is ‘speaking for black people worldwide,’ writes the South African journalist Harry Mashabela. Regarded as a solid liberal in his long career, and writing in the Helen Suzman Foundation’s September newsletter, Mashabela pointed to the adoration Mugabe won at the World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg last year:

The Slave Market (1867), by Jean-Léon Gérôme (11 May 1824 – 10 January 1904): a French painter and sculptor in the style now known as Academicism. The range of his oeuvre included historical painting, Greek mythology, Orientalism, portraits and other subjects, bringing the Academic painting tradition to an artistic climax.

THANKS to an unlikely confluence of history and genetics — the fact that he is African-American and president — Barack Obama has a unique opportunity to reshape the debate over one of the most contentious issues of America’s racial legacy: reparations, the idea that the descendants of American slaves should receive compensation for their ancestors’ unpaid labor and bondage.

There are many thorny issues to resolve before we can arrive at a judicious (if symbolic) gesture to match such a sustained, heinous crime. Perhaps the most vexing is how to parcel out blame to those directly involved in the capture and sale of human beings for immense economic gain.

While we are all familiar with the role played by the United States and the European colonial powers like Britain, France, Holland, Portugal and Spain, there is very little discussion of the role Africans themselves played. And that role, it turns out, was a considerable one, especially for the slave-trading kingdoms of western and central Africa. These included the Akan of the kingdom of Asante in what is now Ghana, the Fon of Dahomey (now Benin), the Mbundu of Ndongo in modern Angola and the Kongo of today’s Congo, among several others.

For centuries, Europeans in Africa kept close to their military and trading posts on the coast. Exploration of the interior, home to the bulk of Africans sold into bondage at the height of the slave trade, came only during the colonial conquests, which is why Henry Morton Stanley’s pursuit of Dr. David Livingstone in 1871 made for such compelling press: he was going where no (white) man had gone before.

How did slaves make it to these coastal forts? The historians John Thornton and Linda Heywood of Boston University estimate that 90 percent of those shipped to the New World were enslaved by Africans and then sold to European traders. The sad truth is that without complex business partnerships between African elites and European traders and commercial agents, the slave trade to the New World would have been impossible, at least on the scale it occurred.

Advocates of reparations for the descendants of those slaves generally ignore this untidy problem of the significant role that Africans played in the trade, choosing to believe the romanticized version that our ancestors were all kidnapped unawares by evil white men, like Kunta Kinte was in “Roots.” The truth, however, is much more complex: slavery was a business, highly organized and lucrative for European buyers and African sellers alike.

Woman who took part in violent attacks on white farmers in Zimbabwe denied UK asylum

A woman who admitted taking part in savage evictions of white farmers from their homes in Zimbabwe lost her bid for asylum after a High Court judge accused her of ‘crimes against humanity.’

Mr Justice Ouseley threw out the widowed mother-of-two’s appeal to remain in the UK after she confessed to beating up ten people during two land invasions.

The judge said the state-sponsored mob violence, which saw white famers’ land seized and shared out among President Robert Mugabe’s cronies, was akin to genocide.

‘We are satisfied that the two farm invasions were crimes against humanity,’ he said, likening the 39-year-old woman’s role to a concentration camp guard who followed Nazi orders during the Holocaust.

The woman, who cannot be named, came to Britain illegally in 2002 and did not claim asylum until six years later.

Her bid for refugee status was rejected on the grounds that her own violent actions in Zimbabwe disqualified her from humanitarian protection in this country.

She admitted to being part of a gang of thugs from Mugabe’s Zanu-PF party who invaded two white-owned farms intent on causing maximum terror and driving away black workers.

The woman, referred to only as ‘SK”, agreed she had beaten up to ten people whilst their homes burned, ‘inflicting enough pain to get them to run away.’

She said that on one occasion, she beat a woman so badly she thought she would die.

However, she insisted she had taken part in the raids under duress to prove her loyalty to Mugabe’s regime and she had never intended to kill anyone.

Mr Justice Ouseley, sitting at the Upper Tribunal Immigration and Asylum Chamber said the farm invasions were ‘part of widespread, systematic attacks’ against white farmers and their black workers, carried out with the full knowledge of the regime ‘as a deliberate act of policy’.

The intention behind the ‘obviously inhumane’ invasions ‘was to cause great suffering or inflict serious physical or mental injury’ on victims and cow them into never returning to their homes or opposing the Mugabe regime, he added.

Family appeals to SA govt over land attacks

A South African family farming in Zimbabwe has made a desperate appeal to President Jacob Zuma’s government to come to their aid in their bid to fend of attempts by a senior politician to grab their farm.

Philip and Ellen Hapelt from Grasslands Farm in Somabhula have been fighting for several months to hold on to their property, which has caught the eye of parliamentarian Jabulani Mangena.

Mangena has led a campaign of harassment, vandalism and violence against the Hapelts and their workers, claiming he has an offer letter entitling him to the property. Late last year, the Hapelts were brutally beaten by a gang of thugs, in an attack the family believes was meant to drive them from their farm.

The Hapelts many years ago voluntarily gave up the majority of their land for the sake of ‘reform’, under an agreement that would allow them to remain on their homestead with a small portion of farming land. They also have two Court orders that entitle them to live on the farm without fear of invasion or persecution. But Mangena is openly disregarding the courts and has even threatened the Hapelts with more violence if they approach the courts again.
