Oscar Pistorius Father - Henke Pistorius - says his son needed guns to protect himself, because the ANC fail to curb violent crime, particularly against whites and farmers. South Africa's crime rate is among the highest in the world with 15,000 people murdered last year, with an estimated 1,600 (cited by Telegraph) vs over 4,000 (Censorbugbear stats) murders of white farmers since 1990. Telegraph Reporter Ainslin Laing does not mention the numerous reports of Police cooking crime statistics, to pretend that crime has decreased.

Ishmael Mnisi, an ANC spokesman, said Mr Pistorius' comments were "worrying", and that massive crime does not justify citizens owning guns, they should report crime to the police.

Meanwhile the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) has revealed a report that about 932 people died in police custody in South Africa in 2011/12.

Chris Preece, 54, was stabbed to death in his kitchen by thieves at Fleur de Lis farm, near Ficksburg, a town along the South Africa-Lesotho border. Police believe he may have stepped outside to investigate a power cut when he was ambushed by three man and dragged back into the house.

His wife Felicity, 56, was also stabbed and suffered a fractured skull after being beaten with a pole - but managed to survive a 12 hour wait for help by bandaging her own head.

It is thought the thieves may have come from neighbouring Lesotho and fled back across the border after the assault. They stole only a wallet containing 3,000 South African rand (£210) and a mobile telephone.

The murder, on Saturday evening, is the latest in a spate of so-called “farm attacks” in South Africa: brutally violent robberies targeting relatively wealthy white farmers.

Even in a country that sees 44 murders a day, the case has left the public horrified.

A gang of robbers gunned down a father, raped and murdered his wife.

Then, in a final act of sickening brutality, they drowned the couple’s 12-year-old son in scalding bath water.

Amaro Viana was murdered to prevent him from identifying the three housebreakers who carried out the raid in suburban South Africa.

The gang included the family’s gardener and the son of a domestic servant.

It was claimed they were motivated by the way they had been treated by the Viana family.

Appearing in court yesterday, the gardener Patrick Radebe, 24, confessed to being part of the gang which broke into their home in October last year.

My Honourable Problem Solving suggestion on the matter is as follows: Challenge those who demand Derbyshire be fired for ‘racism’ with the following conditions.

1. They must provide their personal or publications definition of racism.
   
2. If their defintioin of racism is not the same as that of Dr. Gedaliah Braun’s philosophical definition, then the National Review can – if appropriate - publicly acknowledge that “According to ‘X’’s definition of ‘racism’, which is “XYZ’; Mr. Derbyshire is indeed a racist; however according to Dr. Gedaliah Braun’s definition of racism, as adopted by the National Review as its official ‘racism’ definition; it is the conclusion of the National Review that Mr. Derbyshire is not a racist’.
   
3. In the spirit of Dr. Gedaliah Brauns’ Practical Philosophy definition of ‘racism’, should any publication wish to challenge any of Mr. Derbyshire’s facts and unequivocally prove such facts to be in error; and additionally Mr. Derbyshire refuses to impartially enquire into, or engage in such enquiry into the true facts of the relevant ‘racial’ matter; then Dr. Gedaliah Braun shall be enquired to determine whether Mr. Derbyshire is indeed a racist; according to his definition and if so decided, then Mr. Derbyshire shall be fired, as a racist according to the National Review’s definition of racist.

When it comes to so-called leaders I differentiate between 'problem solving' and 'parasite leeching'.

Problem solving are focussed on finding the root causes of problem and simply clarifying it for better understanding by all; whereas parasite leeching leaders (sic) focus is to perpetuate the problem indefinitely while socio-politically exploiting the problem for personal gain, by means of manipulating the emotions of ‘followers’, related to the symptoms of the problem. If the bath is overflowing, problem solvers focus on turning off the tap; whereas parasite leeches focus on profiting from endlessly mopping up the floor.

Poster distributed by the Federation of Conservative Students (the official Conservative Party student organisation) in Britain during the early 1980's, clearly illustrating that people overseas were more aware of the evil nature of Mandela and his fellow ANC terrorists than most people in South Africa were.

This is a story about Nelson Mandela, the world-famous "freedom fighter" and "democrat." You'll have to pardon those slightly sardonic quotes, because I'm afraid this is that kind of story: a bit iconoclastic, and likely to provoke howls of outrage from Western liberals who see Mandela as a benign black moderate who led an army of hymn-singing Uncle Toms to the promised land.

The technical term for those liberals is "useful idiot," but even I must concede that their intervention was actually quite intelligent, back in the 1950s, when this all started. In those days, good men were weak, and their apartheid adversaries invincible on all but one score: propaganda. The war of perceptions thus became the most critical of all battlefields, with the African National Congress constantly seeking to exaggerate apartheid's evils while portraying itself as "good" in a way that was universally appealing.

In the early sixties, Special Branch detectives came upon a piece of evidence that made this a bit tricky in Mandela's case - a handwritten essay titled, "How To Be A Good Communist," in which the leader of the ANC's newly-formed military wing opined that South Africa would become "a land of milk and honey" under Communist rule. We were told that Mandela was innocently toying with Marxist ideas, trying to understand their appeal, but this made little sense. Almost all his co-conspirators were Communists, wedded to a Sovietist doctrine that envisaged a two-phase ending to the SA struggle - a "national democratic revolution," followed by second revolution in which the Marxist-Leninist vanguard took power.

Mbombela - A 78-year-old woman has been tortured and beaten to death with a hot clothes iron in her home in Dullstroom, Mpumalanga.

The body of Johanna (Jo) Moore was found in her home on Thursday morning with serious burn wounds to her face and both arms.

According to forensic experts, it looked as if her attackers had crushed her head with the same iron.

The motive for the murder appeared to be robbery, as money as missing from the house.

Moore, a South African citizen of Norwegian descent, had lived in Dullstroom for the past 22 years and ran a nursery in the town’s main road for many years.

Over the past few months she worked from home as a florist.

After news spread about Moore’s murder, many Dullstroom residents gathered at her Jan van Riebeeck Street home.

She was last seen alive on Wednesday afternoon when her gardener, André Mlwazu, left. He had worked for her for 21 years.

When he arrived at the house at about 08:00 on Thursday morning, he suspected trouble as the garden gate was open.

He walked around the house and saw an open door. In the kitchen he saw blood on the floor as well as keys near the pantry door.

He went to the neighbour, Ockie Burger, for help.

Moore’s body was found in the pantry. She was lying on her stomach in a pool of blood. The clothes iron with which she had been tortured was found next to her.

TOP Gauteng cop Happy Vilankulu has told the Alberton magistrate's court how a 9-year-old girl was pinned down and had her private parts removed while she was still alive.

Vilankulu was testifying in the murder case against Katlehong bishop Monde Tokwe, Nolofefe Magasane, Fundisile Sidumo and Vusi Mofokeng.

The state alleges that Tokwe and his wife Magasane consulted Mofokeng, an inyanga from KwaZulu-Natal, when they started losing church members at their Eden Church. Mofokeng allegedly told them to get human body parts that she would mix with muti to help bring back churchgoers.

"Accused number 2 (Magasane) sat on top of Yonela Skweyiya and removed her vagina using a razor blade. Then the husband used the blade to remove the child's eyes, ears and fingers ..." Vilankulu said.

Pretoria – Two men who killed a Brits, North West, farmer were sentenced to life imprisonment by the Pretoria High Court yesterday, despite being HIV-positive.

Judge Peter Mabuse said the fact that Thomas Chauke (30), a Mozambican, and Zondi Nkuna (31) of Soshanguve were both HIV-positive was not a compelling reason to deviate from the prescribed life sentence.

The two were last year convicted of murdering Brits farmer Brink Botha and robbing him and his wife Christelle of cellphones, R200 and their bakkie.

Both were also convicted of animal cruelty after poisoning eight of the couple’s Boerboel dogs. One died at the scene and two had to be hospitalised.

Police shot and killed a third suspect.

The two accused were part of a gang who entered the house by smashing a bedroom window. When Botha charged at them they shot him in the chest.

One of the robbers grabbed his wife, who had fled to the study, and demanded money.

She and her daughter were tied up before the robbers left. They found her husband dead in a pool of blood.

Lindley, OFS: Farm attackers took a three year old little girl to an outside room where they shot her in cold blood -- presumably for fear she would identify them.

They then took her little corpse -- still with a pink ribbon in her red hair -- and dumped it next to the corpse of her mother in the main bedroom of the farm.

As far as can be deduced, both small Willemien Potgieter and her mother, Wilna (36) were executed in bullets to the back of the head.

Willemientjie's father, Mr. Attie Potgieter (40) corpse was found outside in the garden next to a hedge, near the backdoor of the house.

It is presumed he was attacked there with a sharp object, presumably a panga to the back of his head, and he was presumably also stabbed with a garden fork.

When the murderers left they wrote the following message in Sotho on a carton box, and stuck it on the gate of the farm Twee-fontein: “We murdered them. We will be back.”

Three farm workers were arrested yesterday for the three murders, and later in the day two more, including a 17-year old, was arrested in the township. Another accused is being sought.

Five of the accused: L-R: Tshololo Tello Mischach Letala (18), Tapa Mopontola Mofokeng (23), Paulus Samson Vusimuzi Khumalo (22), Telleko Sex Seekoei (19) en Stemmer Boy Mofokeng (22). The sixth accused is under aged. Khumalo and the two Mofokengs were farmworkers on Tweefontein.

The Potgieter family would have celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary this week. Allegedly Mr. Potgieter withdrew R7,000 cash yesterday to pay workers wages.

Allegedly the three accused who live in the townships, paid the farm workers each approximately R500 for information on the families movements.

Introduction

At 2:10am on Christmas Day 1990, a gang of approximately twenty to twenty-five boys broke into the Salvation Army Girls Home in Killarney, Soweto. After attacking the night-watchman they broke the doors of the home and proceeded to make their way to the girls' dormitories. Brandishing an assortment of dangerous weapons, the boys threatened to kill the matron who they then stabbed with a sharp instrument. Amidst the turmoil and the panic, the boys selected their victims, who were then taken to various venues where they were raped.

For the first time the "Zebra Force"[1] became known beyond the confines of its immediate neighbourhood. Until then the gang was but a group of delinquent boys operating in the Meadowlands / Killarney area. This was one of the more conspicuously horrific forms of youth violence which aroused fear and revulsion in the people of the township. This was adolescent bravado run riot, but still it was one incident amongst many equally horrendous acts of violence committed in the township streets.[2]

There has been a rapid increase in the levels of violence in black communities like Soweto. It is arguable that the black "youth"[3] have been depicted as central protagonists in this tragic social drama.[4] A more popular tendency has been to speak of a "youth crisis" or "problem", and sometimes even a "lost generation". This approach fails to locate the structural and historical problems rooted in apartheid. On the other hand the political role of the youth has been covered extensively by academic writers[5] and it is no wonder that the youth have been identified as having been in the forefront in the making of South Africa's political history. These works, amongst others, have raised some major questions which have been placed on the agenda of the scholarly and social debates in recent years. Bundy, following Manheim,[6] attempts to provide an explanation for the role played by this generation of youth in the South African context. Like Hyslop,[7] he points out that the crisis of capitalism has led to disaffection and has spawned a fervent youth movement of the 1980s. The arguments go on to point out that the social conditions afflicting the youth were indeed the fuel behind the radicalism of the youth-based political movement. Hyslop in his study of the development of education policy and its political consequences, touches directly on the crisis of capitalism and its implications for the developing student movement.

Tortured, beaten and finally murdered by two employees, Zimbabwean Chris Mahlangu, 28, and a 15 year old over an alleged wage dispute.

Chris Mahlangu, 28, and his 15-year-old co-accused allegedly murdered the Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging leader in April at his farmhouse.

Mahlangu was released in July on R5 000 bail but re-arrested in October after a Pretoria High Court judge said the magistrate in Ventersdorp had made “incomprehensive findings” in his granting of bail.

The judge found that Mahlangu was a flight risk.

At a previous appearance, the court heard that Terre'Blanche carried a panga with him everywhere he went and he frequently took off his underpants because of the heat.

Shortly after the murder there was speculation, fuelled by reports of Terre'Blanche being found dead with his pants down, and that he had attempted to sexually assault his killers.

It was revealed during the bail application that the trio had been consuming alcohol before the incident and were in a “jovial” mood.

The motive for the crime was believed to be over a wage dispute and missing cattle.

The court heard that Terre'Blanche had been struck with such force that his jaw was broken and a bone had pierced his tongue.

A pensioner had a red-hot iron strapped to his back by robbers desperate to find out where he kept his valuables.

David Ward was tortured for 30 minutes by the raiders, who also boiled a kettle and threatened to pour scalding water on his three-year-old granddaughter in an attack so sickening that police say it has even outraged the criminal fraternity.

The iron burned through the 69-year-old's skin, fat and muscle - leaving him in need of extensive plastic surgery - as his tied-up partner was forced to watch.

Terrified Ann Woodland, 66, was handcuffed to her partner throughout the ordeal, during which the robbers stole £200,000 worth of jewellery.

Miss Woodland, a grandmother-of-four, said: 'Those people are just barbaric. They do not understand the value of life.

'I was next to David as he was burning. He was incredibly brave, he didn't even murmur because he didn't want to wake up my granddaughter.'

Criminal immigrants: In 2005, 22 percent of all males of immigrant descent aged 20-29 were convicted one or more crimes. The corresponding number for ethnic Danish men of the same age was 9.8 percent. Around 70 percent of the inmates of secure youth institutions have non-Danish ethnic background.

Islam inhibits integration and causes a higher frequency of crime — but the municipality of Copenhagen turns a blind eye to this fact. This is the controversial message in the new Danish book Blandt Kriminelle Muslimer (“Amongst Criminal Muslims”), which will be published next week (February 24th, 2009). The author of the book is psychologist Nicolai Sennels, who until last year was working at the secure youth institution Sønderbro in Copenhagen, Denmark. Nicolai Sennels criticizes the municipality for a policy of too much carrot and too little stick in efforts directed at youngsters with a Muslim background.

“Even though it’s a taboo to mention it, it is a fact that culture and religion makes a difference. Criminal youth with a Muslim background perceive the Danish approach in secure institutions, schools, and other institutions to be weak. The Danish approach is one that encourages self-reflection, but they do not understand this. They get the impression that they are not punished for their actions, and this causes them to lose respect for the system,” he says, and blames the way children are raised in Muslim families, which emphasize consequence, tradition, and religion.

He hopes that his book will open the eyes among politicians and in the social system. Integration Advisor Manu Sareen partly agrees with Nicolai Sennels:

If you finish high school and keep a job without having children before marriage, you will almost certainly not be poor. Period. I have repeatedly felt the air go out of the room upon putting this to black audiences. No one of any political stripe can deny it. It is human truth on view.

This book is depressing because it is so persuasive. There is a school of thought in America which argues that the government must be the main force that provides help to the black community. This shibboleth is predicated upon another one: that such government efforts will make a serious difference in disparities between blacks and whites. Amy Wax not only argues that such efforts have failed, she also suggests that such efforts cannot bring equality, and therefore must be abandoned. Wax identifies the illusion that mars American thinking on this subject as the myth of reverse causation—that if racism was the cause of a problem, then eliminating racism will solve it. If only this were true. But it isn’t true: racism can set in motion cultural patterns that take on a life of their own.

Wax appeals to a parable in which a pedestrian is run over by a truck and must learn to walk again. The truck driver pays the pedestrian’s medical bills, but the only way the pedestrian will walk again is through his own efforts. The pedestrian may insist that the driver do more, that justice has not occurred until the driver has himself made the pedestrian learn to walk again. But the sad fact is that justice, under this analysis, is impossible. The legal theory about remedies, Wax points out, grapples with this inconvenience—and the history of the descendants of African slaves, no matter how horrific, cannot upend its implacable logic. As she puts it, “That blacks did not, in an important sense, cause their current predicament does not preclude charging them with alleviating it if nothing else will work.”

According to the Commission for Gender Equality a Mail and Guardian article written by Ms. Bradlow about the CGE was "vindictive, malicious and untrue" ('There's no ducking of responsibility', Dec 16 2008 Mail & Guardian).

According to Its Almost Supernatural, Ms. Bradlow's writing about the Israel-Palestine issue is sheer nastiness, as a result of Ms. Bradlow hating complexity. They conclude that "Simple is as simple does Khadija."
