In your diatribe about ‘racism’ to Prof. Jansen: An Open Letter to Prof. Jansen – you are so very wrong, you say, among others:

I submit that you reinstate the decision of the hostel boys and in fact we had campaigned that they must be banned from attending any South African university for some time just like it is the case when a student is caught cheating during an exam.

Mr. Maimela, pray tell me what we should do with the politicians who cheat with taxpayers millions? With Police who cheat with crime statistics, etc? With Bling Politician Cheaters?

If your response is: All politicians and civil servants who cheat in their government duties, are to be banned from ever working for any government department ever again! Hooray! I agree!

Furthermore, any politician or legislator who writes any Affirmative Action or BEE laws, in contradiction to the demands of the South African electorate who want the most qualified candidates to be appointed to the jobs of running the South African government, should be banned from every writing any government policy ever again:

[4.13] South African Citizens Views on Affirmative Action, and Black Economic Empowerment Laws: A report released by the Helen Suzman Foundation, Who Needs Affirmative Action?, Focus Survey, 19 Sept. 2000, provides evidence of three surveys done, which document that the majority (over 60% of South Africans of all colours, support merit, over AA or BEE):

[4.13.1] A 1994 Post Election Survey on Affirmative Action revealed that 61% of all voters, including 52% of Africans wanted to see appointments made strictly on merit, "even if some people do not make progress as a result".

[4.13.2] A 1996 Survey on Affirmative Action found that only 23% of voters took a hardline position in favour of affirmative action, whereas 54% were clearly opposed believing either that "There should be special training of African/blacks but the best applicants for jobs should be appointed whoever they are," or that "There should be no such policies and jobs must go strictly on merit." A middle group of 22% believed that "preference should be given to African/blacks, but if others are better qualified, they should get the job." Thus 76% regarded merit, not race, as the overriding criterion.

[4.13.3] A June/July 2000 Affirmative Action Survey, found that 22% took a hardline position in favour of affirmative action, while 56% took a hardline position against it, with a middle group declining to 19%.

I imagine, that the Reitz 4 students, would happily sacrifice being banned from any and all South African universities for the next 27 years, or their entire lives; if the principle of ‘banning them from the university’ was applied to corrupt politicians and civil servants, being banned from ever working for any Gov. Dept. ever again.

May I suggest to you the plausibility that Prof. Jansen was partially motivated by the reality that there is very little evidence against the Reitz 4, for the ridiculous, unconstitutional and pathetic crime of ‘crimen injuria’. That is not even addressing the constitutionality of ‘crimen injuria’ for in a real constitutional democracy there is no such right, as the right not to be insulted.

I conclude anyone who considers the Reitz 4, to be ‘racists’ has not read PC Canada vs. IRB & Huntley: How many SA Black on White Crimes are Racially Motivated (PDF) nor its enclosures: (i) Truth is the Real Casualty of the Reitz video, ZAmizdat; and (ii) Your Life is In Danger, Why South Africa Sucks. Nor it appears have they read one word of Lenny Bruce, one word of Voltaire, really actively listened to Chris Rock, or comprehended Bill Cosby. They definitely don’t have one critical thinking brain cell floating around in their neocortex.

Unfortunately the seeds of critical thinking, let alone non-violent civil disobedience, and satire, in South Africa, are not encouraged, let alone appreciated or rewarded, watered, or nurtured, or fed compost or organic fertilizer by the likes of the ANC, and the white guilt tripping South African media. But what else could you expect from an organisation whose oxymoronic motto was ‘liberation before education’? So, for those who forsook education for fake ‘liberation’; educate your fragile ego’s:

Lenny Bruce:

"Are there any niggers here tonight?" 'What did s/he say?' Are there any niggers here tonight?" Jesus Christ! Is that cruel or what? Does she have to go that low for laughs?...Are there any niggers here tonight? I know that one nigger who works here, I see him back there. Oh, theres two niggers, customers, and, ah, aha! Between those two niggers sits one kike -- man, thank God for the kike! Uh, two kikes. That's two kikes, and three niggers, and one spic. One mick...

The point? That the word's suppression gives it the power, the violence, the viciousness. If President Kennedy got on television and said, "Tonight I'd like to introduce the niggers in my cabinet," and he yelled "nigger nigger nigger nigger nigger nigger nigger" at every nigger he saw, "bogey bogey bogey boogey, nigger nigger nigger nigger" till nigger didn't mean anything any more, till nigger lost it's meaning -- you'd never make any four-year-old nigger cry when he came home from school.

Voltaire:

One of the most important days in the history of mankind was November 20, 1694, when a puny, sickly, ugly child was born of humble parents who afterwards called himself “Voltaire.” This anemic and cynically-faced individual made the time in which he lived momentous. Voltaire answered every argument, anticipated every question. He employed ridicule, satire, and mockery in their proper place and in their most effective manner. He utilized reason when he knew the intelligence of the people would understand it. He met every falsehood with fact, and with direct and decisive blows demolished the false structures built upon casuistry.

He was never idle in behalf of mankind. It has been said that he was extravagant with everything but his time. To him time was the most precious thing in the world. He could not bear to see a single golden moment wasted while heartless brutality of priest and king rode so mercilessly upon the backs of the ignorant masses. He could not reconcile himself to idleness and pleasure with so much misery and injustice prevailing, when he could be of some assistance.

On the definition of Freedom of Thought Voltaire succinctly says: “Think for yourself, and let others enjoy the privilege to do so, too.” And his famous sentence to Helvetius is now a classic: “I do not agree with a word you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”

Voltaire made things, that were formally held sacred, look ridiculous merely by making a comparison. And on the question of Dogmatism need anything further be said than this? What a volume of philosophy it contains! “If you had asked the whole earth before the time of Copernicus: ‘has the sun risen? Has it set today?'’ All men would have answered: ‘We are quite certain of it.’ They were certain and they were in error. Witchcraft, divinations, and possessions were for a long time the most certain things in the world in the eyes of society. What an innumerable crowd of people who have seen all these fine things and who have been certain of them. At present this certainty has been a little shaken.”

“Of all the intellectual weapons that have been wielded by man, the most terrible was the mockery of Voltaire. Bigots and tyrants who had never been moved by the wailings and cursing of millions, turned pale at his name,” said Lord Macaulay.

It appears unfortunate for the poor Reitz 4, that they overestimated the intelligence of blacks and liberal whites, in South Africa, to understand their non-violent civil disobedient satire.

Quite ironic, actually; the Reitz 4, overestimated the intelligence of viewers and participants in the video, to understand their satire; and they are accused, by many viewers and the participants (who have no clue about satire), that they were underestimating their intelligence.

An analogy: the Reitz 4 satire video, accuses the ‘integration’ policies they are critiquing of stupidity on a level of say 4, out of ten. Instead of a satirical response demonstrating an intelligence of say 6, or 9, out of ten; the complainants of ‘crimen injuria’ demonstrate that they are not even a 4, but a minus 4, on the stupidity scale!

Black Consciousness and Civic Pride, vs Ignorant Nigger Black Thug Culture:

African American Black Consciousness: Bill Cosby:

“I am talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit. Where were you when he was 2? Where were you when he was 12? Where were you when he was 18 and how come you didn't know that he had a pistol? And where is the father? Or who is his father?”

“These are people going around stealing Coca-Cola. People getting shot in the back of the head over a piece of pound cake. Then we all run out and are outraged: ‘The cops shouldn’t have shot him.’ What the hell was he doing with the pound cake in his hand? I wanted a piece of pound cake just as bad as anybody else. And I looked at it and I had no money. And something called parenting said, ‘If you get caught with it, you’re going to embarrass your mother.’”

“Ladies and gentlemen, listen to these people. They are showing you what’s wrong … What part of Africa did this come from? We are not Africans. Those people are not Africans. They don’t know a damned thing about Africa— with names like Shaniqua, Shaligua, Mohammed, and all that crap, and all of them are in jail.”

“For all the woes of segregation, there were some good things to come out of it. One was that it forced us to take care of ourselves. When restaurants, laundries, hotels, theaters, groceries, and clothing stores were segregated, black people opened and ran their own. Black life insurance companies and banks thrived, as well as black funeral homes … Such successes provided jobs and strength to black economic well-being. They also gave black people that gratifying sense of an interdependent community.”

Instead of waiting for handouts or outside help, Cosby argues, disadvantaged blacks should start by purging their own culture of noxious elements like gangsta rap, a favorite target. “What do record producers think when they churn out that gangsta rap with antisocial, women-hating messages? Do they think that black male youth won’t act out what they have repeated since they were old enough to listen?”

African American Black Consciousness: Chris Rock:

“Everything white people don’t like about black people, black people really don’t like about black people … It’s like a civil war going on with black people, and it’s two sides—there’s black people and there’s niggas, and niggas have got to go … Boy, I wish they’d let me join the Ku Klux Klan. Shit, I’d do a drive-by from here to Brooklyn.”

African American Black Consciousness: Theodore McClendon:

‘My parents happened to be the unfortunate victim of black cultural immaturity, thugism, and quite frankly blacks cultural primitive nature. We got to change this. Unless we change this we are doomed to have an uncivilized society. We are doomed to live in a quagmire of primordial existence. Unless we change it. But we got to admit it. That's where black leaders have to wake up. Black leaders have to come to grips that our pathologies run deep. Despite the causes of black pathologies, we must understand they exist. We need to address them rather than to blame external forces, blame economics, blame the white man. Blame something that's not going to solve anything. You got to admit our shortcomings... That's what we got to do.’

Black Africans must decide what they want: Black Consciousness and Civic Pride, vs Ignorant Nigger Black Thug Culture:

a. Do Black Africans want sincere and honest respect, from sincere and honest whites?

b. Do you want respect as a boss, because you are the highest qualified person for the job, based on merit, your character and your values and experience; not legislated skin colour preferences?

c. Do you want respect as a friend, because of the quality of your honesty, your honour and your character: Because your word is your word?

OR:

d. Do you want pretend and insincere respect, from pretending and insincere whites; because you have created and fostered a culture of such insecurity and stupidity, that demands that any white person pretends to respect you, because you are black? If so, what does that say about your intelligence, your moral character etc?

e. Do you want employees to pretend to respect you as their boss, because the government decided you are too ignorant and stupid to get a job as a boss or manager on your skills and experience and the quality of your character as a manager, so they made laws to force companies to make you a manager, because you are too stupid, inneficient, corrupt and incompetent to be one on merit?

f. Do you want whites who pretend and are insincere, with you as their ‘black friend’, because you are black, and the person does not have the courage to tell you their honest criticisms of your character, so that you can grow a stronger and more worthy character? Should your friends respect you as a friend, because you are black and because you are black they should demand less of you as a friend, because you are too intellectually and morally incompetent to demonstrate real character values which would get you true and real friends?

If black culture’s definition of ‘respect’ was the former (a)-(c); as it is for the few conservative blacks who value civic pride, and black consciousness; do you think two faced black and white liberal hypocrite sycophants would need to force and coerce blacks and whites to integrate, and associate? I don’t associate or integrate with white nigger thugs who define respect as (d)-(f); why on earth should I associate, let alone integrate with black nigger thugs?
