The Voltarian SA Sucks blog has once again been shut down; this time by Rendier (Renaldo) Gouws, and some of his The Rendier Show - I Disagree With What You Say, And I Will Ruin You If You Say It - fanclub. To be fair some of his fans disagreed, and voiced reason; but he did not listen.

Undoubtedly Voltarian SA Sucks is not for the faint-hearted or easily offended. Their blog posts range from the satirically shocking, to in depth scientific politically incorrect journalism, incorporating philosophy, science, psychology, military strategy, history, etc. If you are easily offended, and your commitment to the 'freedom of speech' of those you disagree with does not include fighting for their right to express their opinions - only freedom for my speech and my opinions - then SA Sucks is NOT recommended reading material. The man who had killed Sunningdale KZN mom Lauren Olivier in her luxury home on Sept 6 last year, confessed to his crime before a Durban High Court judge on Monday - but while the prosecutor accepted his guilty plea, she also warned the judge that it was not necessarily the whole truth.

"We cannot gainsay his version," state advocate Yasmin Vahed said of Makhele Johnson Thabethe's written plea... The judge agreed, sentencing the gardener to 30 years in prison.

According to the forensic report in the court documents, Mrs Olivier had suffered more than 40 puncture and stab wounds - not 19 as initially reported. The ferocity with which Mrs Olivier had been killed had sent shockwaves through the close-knit Sunningdale community. She was bludgeoned and stabbed while the young mom, still frail from childbirth, was also holding her baby, Jack.

The gardener claimed that she'd called him a kaffir and had refused to pay his day's wages... so he'd beat her with a monkey wrench, then stabbed her repeatedly, tied her up and gagged her to stop her from raising the alarm - and then just climbed out of a window and left.

Thabethe, pictured above, this week confessed to bludgeoning and stabbing the frail young mom but also wrote in his confession that he 'had left her baby unharmed'.

He then stole a mere R70 ($6,50), her cellphone and MP3 player and went into hiding for over a year. The police investigating team however regularly conducted interviews with the suspect’s family and never gave up trying to find him.

Eventually, they had found the suspect hiding inside his family's house. He said in his confession however that he'd decided to go home and turn himself in because he felt guilty.

The chairman of the Durban north and Umhlanga community policing forum, Haden Searles, said Mrs Olivier’s widower Tony was “pleased” with the arrest. “He is happy about the arrest but it has opened up a lot of hurt and bad memories for him,' said Searles.

Her father Lindsay Shankland said they'd had only one question for her killer: Why? "We have battled with this so much, and all we want to know is why he did it," Olivier's father Lindsay Shankland said. And while the breakthrough in her murder 'would help with the healing process, it would in no way provide closure. An empty feeling would be with us; my wife and my two other children forever ,' her father told the news media.

RE: Law Societies statement that Radical Honesty SA Amicus Application in RSA v. Dewani is ‘without substance or legal basis’

I write regarding your statements in SA citizen challenges Dewani extradition, The South African, 01-02-2011, wherein Rob Boffard states the following:

Nalini Gangen, director of the Cape Law Society, says, however, that Ms Johnstone’s views are “without substance or legal basis”.

“There is no reason to doubt that Mr Dewani would receive a fair hearing. South Africa has one of the best constitutions in the world and the Constitution provides for the instruments of democracy to be protected. The Constitution provides for the separation of powers and in particular the independence of the judiciary.

“South African legal processes are clearly defined and any accused would have the freedom of choice of legal representation.

“We have confidence in our judiciary,” she added.

I’d appreciate it if you could please clarify the following issues for me:

Denis Alland has been a professor of law at the University Panthéon-Assas (Paris II) since 1996. He was also the French UNHCR Representative (1989-97), an Assessor in the Refugee Appeals Commission, and is one of the EU Legal Network on Asylum (ELENA) Law Professor experts on Refugee Law.

Prof. Alland also appears to be legally allergic to the concept of African White Refugees.

On December 08, 2010 2:19 AM, the Jus Sanguinis (Right of Blood) Boer Volkstaat for African White Refugees Petition, was submitted by email to the Pretoria Offices of Ambassador Jacques Lapouge. Ambassador Lapouge was requested to officially forward the Petition and Briefing Paper to French Political leaders, Refugee and Nationality Law legal experts, and Peak Oil/Ecological Social Contract experts; one of whom was Denis Alland, ELENA Refugee Law Expert, Professor in Public Law at the Universite Pantheon-Assas Paris.

Murder planned in prison, court hears

VIRGINIA. – Witnesses told the High Court about how a group, including a few policemen, planned the murder of a well known businessman and farmer from Wesselsbron and two police investigating officials, from the prison in Odendaalsrus.

They also testified about how different prisoners were told to go and draw blood in the place of others, in order for the murders to be arranged.

This occurred irrespective of the fact that one of the main witnesses for the state has dissapeared between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, when he was required to testify.

Another testified how he was threatened in prison that he would be sodomized if he did not join the groups murder conspiracy, who are accused of conspiracy to murder Mr. Carel Marais and Insp. Nico Smith and Insp. Lizelle Herbst of the Hawks.

Mr. Lucas Kgobe, who was imprisoned on charges of rape, informed Judge S.P.B. Hancke how Insp. Japhta Kgothule (policeman brother of Free State arts and culture MEC Dan Kgothule), with whom he was imprisoned, was the spokesperson of the groups conspiracy.

He was approached by Mr. Godfrey Molefi (the witness who has since dissapeared) with information about “work” that Kghothule and his conspirators had for him. Molefi said that the work involved assassinating the complainant and the investigating officials in the accuseds case.

He was taken with Molefi to the other cell where Kgothule said he would make sure that Kgobe's bail was paid, so that they could get out to do the “work”.

The question to ask is whether we are intellectually, culturally, sociologically and psychologically prepared for such a war. Lara Johnstone, 43, filed an Amicus Curiae application with the Westminster Magistrate’s Court from South Africa, presenting an argument that Dewani would not receive a fair trial if extradited to South Africa and should be allowed to stand trial in the UK. The case was presented at the start of Dewani’s extradition trial on 20 January, which was postponed to 8 February, due to Dewani’s health.

On Tuesday 1 February, Dewani's publicist Max Clifford said his client was still ill and would not be present at the 8 February hearing.

Johnstone, who works as a vermicompost worm farmer in George, South Africa, trained as a paralegal through Damelin, but has been unable to find work in the field since graduating.

Speaking to The South African, Johnstone said that she did not believe judicial standards in South Africa were the same as the UK. “I filed [the application] because I don’t think he’ll get a free and fair trial,” Johnstone said. “If we can’t give people free and fair trials, we should just set up bullets to the head.”

Amicus Curiae, which translates as Friend Of The Court, refers to someone, unconnected to a case, who volunteers information to a court for a matter before it. It is filed in the form of an affidavit, and can be put to a court by any citizen or organisation at any time, even if they have no previous involvement in a case. Johnstone filed her application as a private citizen.
